It’s December 11th, 2015. The Neighbourhood Unitarian Universalist Congregation (aka NUUC) has raised almost $30,000 to support a Syrian refugee family. This blog will serve to allow sharing of our experience as this journey progresses.
We don’t yet know who our family will be, or how long the process of getting them here will take. But it has already been hugely exciting to see how the community has come together to offer support and money for this project.
It’s our hope that there will be many voices on this blog, as different people share their experiences.

ReplyDeleteThis is a lovely clip of our Prime Minister and Premier welcoming a Syrian family to Canada last night. I look forward to being able to welcome and support our new family. Thank you everyone for your heart centred work.
